Staff
- Conductor - (TBD - June 2004)
- The conductor is the creative soul of any band. This involves
going beyond picking out the music for the next concert and above
the simple act of keeping time for the performers. The conductor
brings the music to life, providing an interpretation that cannot
be expressed on paper.
- Business Manager - (Ginny McDonald)
- Every season, the band's busy performance schedule includes
are variety of public concerts, community outreach concerts, and
appearances at special events. It's up to the business manager to
handle requests for performances, as well as organizing sponsorship
necessary for the band to function.
- Librarian - (Dale Bjorklund)
- Keeping track of the sheet music for a large group is no small
task. Parts have to be distributed or filed away, missing parts have
to be ordered, and it all has to be ready before the rehearsals start.
- Equipment Manager - (B. Gabriel Helou)
- Somehow, chairs, music stands, and large instruments need to be
set up whereever the band is rehearsing or performing. Sometimes, the
band may need to find an anvil or siren for a particular piece of
music. Whether it's moving a truckload of instruments or picking up
a few "instruments" at the hardware store, the equipment manager manages
to keep busy.
