SPOOKTACULAR XX
Sunday, October 30, 2005
Harrison High School Auditorium
Farmington Hills, Michigan
3:00 p.m.

The FCB Concert band will kick off the season with an afternoon of tunes 'n treats featuring exciting musical highlights from The Empire Strikes Back, ET, Batman and many others. Ushers for the afternoon will be the band students from East Middle School in a joint effort to promote and enrich their instrumental music program. Bring the family out for an afternoon of "spooktacular" musical fun, get some treats, march in the costume parade and help The FCB support young musicians in the Farmington community.

Join The FCB Concert Band for a celebration of music of the season with great music in our time featuring some exciting selections arranged for concert band such as Rocky Point Holiday by Ron Nelson and American Overture for Band by Wilcox Jenkins. At this concert you will also enjoy a special presentation of holiday music by the fabulous 20 piece FCB Big Band!



VALENTINE DINNER DANCE

An evening of fine dining and dancing awaits you at elegant Glen Oaks Country Club in Farmington Hills. The evening includes a cash bar cocktail hour and lavish buffet dinner followed by music until midnight provided by the fabulous 20-piece FCB Big Band.

A LIFETIME OF MUSIC

Most musicians will tell you that an important part of their musical journey was spent in a high school instrumental music program. The members of The FCB return to their musical roots at a joint concert with the Southfield-Lathrup High School's Concert Band. Each band will perform separately and then combine on stage to create one amazing musical sound!

40 years of music is a great heritage and The FCB is presenting a special concert to celebrate this wonderful musical legacy. In honor of this occasion they have invited cofounders Paul and Fern Barber to perform with the concert band one more time at a special anniversary concert. Join the FCB Concert Band for a very special evening of music and memories. Later, visit with old friends at the special homecoming reception immediately following the concert.

Target The FCB presents the greatest hits from 20th century Broadway and Hollywood at it's annual concert in honor of the Farmington Community's senior citizens. With support from the Farmington Hills Cultural Arts Division, The FCB will provide special transportation for those in area nursing homes to be able to attend this very special outreach concert. The general public is invited to join us, and our special guests, to enjoy a memorable afternoon of American music classics and free refreshments.
This concert for listeners of all ages is sponsored by the Target store at 30020 Grand River in Farmington Hills.

The program so nice, we play it twice! Sponsored by the South Lyon Senior Citizens, this concert features The FCB and the South Lyon H.S. Concert Band.
(This concert is a special event organized by the South Lyon Senoir Advisory Committee; there is a charge for admission to this concert.)

Admission Policy

The Farmington Community Band is made up of musicians of a wide variety of ages and backgrounds who simply share in the joy of performing for the community. In that spirit there is no cost for admission to most FCB concerts; some admission may be charged for concerts that are part of special events put on by other organizations. Your generous donations help ensure the future of the band and are gratefully accepted. Opportunities for donation will be available at performances and through our patron program.

The FCB is a 501(c)3 corporation; a portion of your contribution may be deductible under current tax laws.
