  Our 44th season starts in a festive way with a fall concert at the historic Franklin Cider Mill, located in the village of Franklin. This double-feature begins with a performance by the FCB Dixieland Ramblers, followed immediately by the highly acclaimed FCB Concert Band. Enjoy this outdoor concert filled with music for the whole family along with great cider and doughnuts!

SPOOKTACULAR XXIV

  Ghosts, goblins, witches, pirates, mummies ... who knows what you will meet during one of the Farmington community's most enjoyed Hallowe'en traditions? Enjoy the eerie presence of The FCB Concert Band with an afternoon of "tunes-n-treats", a concert just for ghosts and goblins and their families.

This year, we will be assisted by band students from East Middle School in a joint effort to enrich their instrumental music program. Bring the family out for an afternoon of Halloween musical fun, get some treats, march in the costume parade, and help us encourage our young musicians.

  As winter aproaches, the FCB Concert Band blasts back with a musical force that will hold the winter at bay, at least for one afternoon. And for a holiday treat, enjoy a special appearance by the fabulous 20-piece FCB Big Band!

  If you love the music of the big band era, music created by Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington and other great band leaders, then you will love our Valentine Dinner Dance. Enjoy an evening of fine dining and dancing at elegant Glen Oaks Country Club in Farmington Hills. The evening includes a cash bar cocktail hour and lavish buffet dinner. Later, enjoy music until midnight provided by the renowned 20-piece FCB Big Band. Treat your special Valentine or get a group of friends together for a table of eight.

  The FCB has a long history working with in the educational community. This workshop-concert with the students from the OCC music department in a unique opportunity to observe how FCB conductor Damien Crutcher rehearses the Concert Band for a typical performance.





CELEBRATE THE ARTS ENCORE

  The concert so nice, we do it twice! The FCB brings an encore performance of "Celebrate the Arts" to the South Lyon community. As an added bonus, the South Lyon High School band, under the direction of Robert Bosma, will open the concert.
(This concert is a special event organized by the South Lyon Senior Advisory Committee; there is a charge for admission to this concert. Tickets will be available at the door.)



STARS IN THE PARK CONCERTS

  Grab a blanket or lawn chairs, pack a picnic basket and bring along some friends. A great way to enjoy the music of The FCB in a summer evening in beautiful Heritage Park. Enjoy the great sounds of the magnificent FCB Concert Band in June, then come back to hear the fabulous FCB Big Band in July.

These concerts are sponsored by the Farmington Hills Department of Special Services.



Admission Policy: Most of Our Concerts Are Free!

The Farmington Community Band is made up of musicians of a wide variety of ages and backgrounds who simply share in the joy of performing for the community. In that spirit, there is no cost for admission to most FCB concerts; some admission may be charged for concerts that are part of special events put on by other organizations. Your generous donations help ensure the future of the band and are gratefully accepted. Opportunities for donation will be available at performances and through our patron program.

The FCB is a 501(c)3 corporation; a portion of your contribution may be deductible under current tax laws.
